Our client is currently seeking a Capital Project Manager for their growing business.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading, coordinating, & executing capital investment projects across two production facilities in Georgia and Mexico.
The Project Manager will oversee the complete investment project lifecycle, from initial technical and financial assessment, business case preparation, and investment approval through engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, production qualification, ramp-up, and final handover to operations.
These are 24/7 high-speed manufacturing plants & the Project Manager will ensure that investments in injection molding machines, molds, component assembly machines, automation, auxiliary equipment, utilities, and production infrastructure are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with defined capacity, quality, efficiency, and operational performance targets.

This job will have the following responsibilities:- Lead and manage a portfolio of capital investment projects across 2 plants in US & Mexico.
- Translate approved business and operational requirements into clearly defined project scopes, deliverables, milestones, and execution plans.
- Support the preparation of investment proposals, technical evaluations, cost estimates, return-on-investment calculations, and capacity expansion plans.
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned capital projects, ensuring delivery against approved scope, timing, budget, quality, safety, and performance objectives.
- Coordinate engineering, equipment procurement,
infrastructure preparation, installation, commissioning, validation, and production ramp-up.
- Manage multiple projects in parallel, proactively resolving conflicts involving equipment availability, supplier capacity, internal resources, and production requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, critical paths, resource plans, procurement plans, and commissioning timelines.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, expenditure forecasts, purchase commitments, and cash-flow projections.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Finance on supplier selection, quotations, purchase orders, payment milestones, and investment accounting requirements.
- Support technical and commercial evaluations of equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Track actual costs against approved budgets and provide transparent reporting of variances, risks, and forecast completion costs.
Qualifications & Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing industrial capital investment projects, preferably in plastics processing, injection molding, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including significant equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Proven understanding of industrial machinery, automation, production processes, utilities, and manufacturing infrastructure.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams
