Our client is currently seeking a PRODUCTION SHIFT MANAGER-2ND & 3RD SHIFT in North Carolina.
We are seeking a
Production Shift Managerto lead operations for a designated manufacturing shift within a fast-paced food production environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance while developing frontline leadership and building a culture of continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will work closely with production supervisors and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of production plans, achievement of key performance metrics, and ongoing development of plant personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Lead shift operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and service objectives while ensuring adherence to operating standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, coach, and hold accountable production supervisors and frontline teams, fostering employee engagement, talent development, and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process improvements, mitigating production risks, optimizing resource utilization, and improving overall plant performance.
QualificationsRequired- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing leadership experience with responsibility for supervising leaders, teams, and operational performance.
- Demonstrated success managing production operations in a process-driven manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, production reporting systems, and performance management tools.
Preferred- Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or similar operational excellence methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, food safety requirements, and workplace safety programs within a regulated manufacturing environment.
