The Judge Group is seeking a Production Manager for a growing food manufacturing company in the Whittier, Ca area. This position oversees daily production operations, focusing on leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

COMPENSATION:$120,000 - $140,000

WORKSITE:Onsite

MUST HAVE:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

MUST HAVE:At least 10 years of progressive management experience in manufacturing, with a strong background in food production.

MUST HAVE:Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and teams across multiple shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The Production Manager will provide direct oversight of daily manufacturing operations, spending the majority of time on the production floor and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role leads production teams across multiple shifts, drives process improvements, and fosters a proactive, cross-functional environment.

- Supervise and guide production leads and supervisors, focusing on coaching and development.

- Design, roll out, and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs), process standards, and workflow systems to drive production performance.

- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance standards for the production workforce.

- Drive optimal utilization of personnel, materials, machinery, and other production assets.

- Promote a culture of food safety, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety throughout the operation.

- Work with other departments to ensure cohesive operations.

- Maintain accurate production records and support the use of manufacturing and ERP systems.

- Work with operations and support teams on production planning, inventory management, documentation, and reporting.

- Encourage a proactive approach to manufacturing operations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Build leadership capabilities within the production team through ongoing coaching and training.

- Identify operational issues early, analyze root causes, and implement lasting solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in manufacturing, preferably within the food industry.

- Extensive leadership experience managing production teams across multiple shifts.

- Demonstrated history of job stability and advancement.

- Strong hands-on leadership style in manufacturing environments.

- Background in creating and rolling out SOPs, process improvements, and procedural updates.

- Commitment to continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively across departments.

- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

- Strategic and forward-thinking leadership abilities.
