Non-Food Buyerto manage purchasing and inventory across categories including
chemicals, cleaning and sanitation supplies, paper products, foodservice equipment, disposables, and other non-food items.What You'll Do- Purchase
non-food products from national and regional manufacturers and
distributors.
- Negotiatepricing, terms, freight, quantities, and delivery schedules.
- Manage
inventory and service levels while minimizing aging and obsolete product.
- Monitor
pricing trends, supply availability, and market conditions.
- Build
strong relationships with suppliers and brokers.
- Identify
alternate suppliers and products to improve cost, quality, and
availability.
- Partner
with Sales, Operations, and Category Management on customer needs,
pricing, product mix, and replenishment.
- Analyze
purchasing and inventory data to make timely buying decisions.
- Earn
up to a total of $96K in your first year, plus Fortune 500 benefits
What We're Looking For- 2+
years of non-food purchasing experience required.
- Experience
purchasingchemicals, cleaning supplies, paper products, foodservice
equipment, disposables, or related categories.
- Strong
negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Foodservice,
wholesale, retail, hospitality, or related distribution experience
preferred.
- Strong
analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfortable
operating in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
