FIELD CONSULTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Field Consultant position is an in the field role that primarily engages with suppliers and retailers to promote the proper ordering, handling and merchandising of Bon Appetit products, and shares the knowledge and expertise to best position the brand to achieve maximum sales and profits for the entire category.
• The Field Consultant regularly advises and consults with established and potential customers, warehouse customers, Third Party DSD suppliers, and other venues about their category development and provides expert recommendations based on market conditions.
• The Field Consultant must be proficient at gathering and utilizing data and buying trends, and in evaluating the market conditions.
• The Field Consultant will create and foster relationships with decision makers in their area of responsibility to grow profitable sales for Bon Appetit and the bakery category.
• The Field Consultant represents the Company in the field and must develop the knowledge to resolve issues and concerns as they arise and capture all available opportunities.
• The Field Consultant works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for managing their own schedules to achieve the set goals and targets.

• The Field Consultant will assist in the development of potential new markets and customers.

• This position provides reports and recommendations to Senior Management regarding market conditions, developments, factors impacting the operation of the Company, its products and customers, sales and customer activity and opportunities.
• This position is also responsible for advising distribution partners and retailers on handling Bon Appetit products properly and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations to ensure public safety.
• Travel:
  • The position requires moderate travel, to increase, foster, and improve the Company s products, which is central to the Company s business and operations.
  • Travel will consist of various means of transportation, including but not limited to, airline and motor vehicle. In order to properly visit markets, the Field Consultant is expected to fly or drive to particular markets, and drive between locations for up to an eight-hour period, with or without multiple stops throughout the day.
• Communications:
  • In addition to the above, this position must recap daily activities, developmental, and customer efforts as well as the following day plans primarily via email to the Company.
  • This position requires lifting, bending and carrying Company equipment, products or displays.

• OTHER DUTIES:

As business and operational needs dictate, additional duties may be assigned, from time to time, at the Company s sole discretion.
