Position SummaryDumping and spreading fresh/frozen product onto moving conveyor.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ability to dump product weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively using two hands onto a continually moving conveyor. You must dump the product onto the line when you hear the buzzer sound. Product will come in boxes or totes. Boxes will need to be opened and contents dumped onto conveyor. You will use the plastic bag surrounding the product to spread product evenly, do not let hands touch raw product at any time. Train backup personnel. You will move the product to and from by forklift/palletjack. Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Follows established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required
Employee Safety Responsibilities:
- Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
- Use proper lifting techniques
- Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
- Use personal assistance (buddy)
- Use handrails
- Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP'S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.
Position Qualifications- Prefer High School Diploma/GED
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Minimal Supervision
- Forklift/Palletjack Certification

- Continuously required to stand.
- Occasional reaching/working above shoulders, hand twisting, body bending and driving a forklift/palletjack.
- Regularly required to lifting, pulling, and/or carrying up to 50 pounds for a distance up to 6ft.
- Will be exposed to loud industrial type environments commonly found at plants.
- Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
