Transportation Director

Our client is looking for an experienced and innovative Transportation Director to join their team.

As Transportation Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of transportation administrative operations, including fleet leases and maintenance, driver safety training and safety program, vendor payments, transportation compliance and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing transportation operations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities with warehouse and distribution operations
• Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
• Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Oversee fleet maintenance contracts and leases
• Manage safety programs and compliance
• Develop presentations to share with all levels of the organization

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in distribution operations or 3PL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in transportation management software and other relevant technologies
